C6 Ranch's 50th Anniversary

Saturday, November 1st, we headed to Bryan, TX to celebrate the 50th year anniversary of the C6 ranch, Bryan's grandparent's ranch. It's a 1200 acre working cattle ranch run by Dr. Howard Cargill or as we like to call him, Daday. The ranch became known as C6 for the 6 members of his family. His wife Irene (aka Mimi), and children, Tommy, Bobby, Karen, and Sharon (my mother in law). If established today, I guess it would be known as C28 as the family has grown quite a lot in the last 50 years. We celebrated that night at the camp house on their property with a chili gala. A slide show was shown featuring photos of the ranch's beginnings of the cowboys that worked so hard with great pride to create and maintain this beautiful land.
As I sat that night watching my little cowboy run around on his great grandfather's land excitement filled my heart knowing that he will get to be a part of this wonderful legacy! Thank you Mimi and Daday for the wonderful gift of C6 and what it means to all of us!
