It's as if Colin tries to make up for his lack of human contact during the night with trying to get as much as possible during the day. Don't get me wrong, I am so grateful that he sleeps through most nights, and I love loving on him, but my back will not be loving the amount of time that he is wanting me to hold him throughout the day as he gets bigger.
Jackson's favorite read aloud right now is "Katy No Pocket." We ran across this childhood favorite of mine at the library several weeks ago and he fell in love with it as I did as a little girl. Katy feels at a loss not having a pocket to hold her little joey, Freddy, so she goes around asking all of her animal friends how they carry their babies without a pocket. None of their advice worked for Katy and only added to her frustration until she made a trip to the city where a generous handy man gave her his tool apron to carry Freddy in.
Luckily amongst the baby gear that adorns every corner of my house is one incredible Zolo sling lent to me by my good friend Ella. My little joey loves it, so this is me 90% of the day! Just call me "Katy Kangaroo!"
