Yellow Chair

Jackson hardly ever gets sick so we were shocked to find him in his crib this morning with evidence that he threw up in his sleep. Poor little guy! We took his temperature which read 102! Oh no! He was so thirsty so we gave him some diluted juice and oh no again this resulted in him profusely throwing up. So, thanks to Genevieve I pulled out the "Toddler 411" book. Evidently that was too much fluid at once. The book said to wait 1 hour after the last vomiting episode
and then give one teaspoon of a pedialyte type fluid every five minutes unless he were to throw up again and then you repeat. This is working pretty well. Still 102 but no throwing up since 7:00 a.m. yeah! We decided after a lot of clean up this morning that Jackson needed a special chair for the day so we covered a spot on the couch with Jackson's favorite colored towels in attempt to decrease clean up time should he get sick again. Hopefully a day filled of snuggling and watching Elmo, Toy Story, Wonder Pets, and Cars in his special yellow chair will do the trick and he'll be back in action. The blog below shows a picture of him happily playing in the backyard last night. It's amazing how quickly little kids get sick.
