Jackson had so much fun helping to make the banner.
Wow that's a lot of candles!
A montage of shapshots throughout his thirty years. Everyone was in agreement that the goatee must not be repeated, but look how cute Superman Bryan was. And boy has he turned into one handsome man, ok I'm a little biased, but it is the truth!
This is Gordon. Despite his initial reaction Jackson became quite fond of his friend who he took very good care of for over a week. Gordon now rests in peace, but man he had quite an adventurous life!
The next weekend we headed to San Antonio for Bryan's cousin's wedding. It was held at Serengeti Resort, a wonderful bed and breakfast meets wildlife preserve event center! That description did not do it justice for it is truly spectacular. Every moment of the ceremony and reception was breathtakingly beautiful. I have to say my favorite moment was during the ceremony when our friend, Ryan, sang "How Great Thou Art." In the middle of the Texas Hill Country, holding my beautiful baby, sitting by my incredible husband, and watching two lives become one. You could just feel God all around you. What a beautiful moment and a beautiful start to their marraige. Congrats to Courtney and Jarrett!
The Cargill Family with the Newlyweds
And my beautiful Colin who could not have been more of an angel the entire weekend, even during our stop on the way to change a flat tire, but that deserves a blog of it's own.
We took Colin with us, but Jackson spent the weekend here with Bryan's cousin Emily and husband Nate. Both parties looked equally pooped upon our arrival back at home. They wore him out with lots of fun activities and I think my busy, o.k. crazy, little guy might have pushed them back a bit from having kids of their own...ha ha! Joking aside, it's a lot of work, taking care of a 3 year old for any length of time and they did a beautiful job and we were so thankful to have a more relaxed time at the wedding.
Mother's Day was also the same weekend of the wedding. When we got home, Jackson and Colin helped make a new stepping stone with their hand prints for the garden, and then we went out to dinner. The week before Jackson treated me to tea and cookies at his school's mother's day tea.

Colin turned 4 months old on the 17th. At his checkup he was 15 lbs. 6 oz (60%), 25.5 inches (72%), and a head circumference of 17 inches (75%). I thought he was going to be off the charts and even double checked these percentiles online when we got home because he just looks so big. He looks and acts like he is already 6 months old to me, rolling around everywhere, bubbling, laughing, and trying to sit up already.
We then had our whirlwind trip to see my sister's new little one. I love this picture of my sister, brother in law and baby Cade. Such pride, such joy, such LOVE...
The following Thursday Jackson headed to Honey and Doc's for some special time while we had Colin's surgery. He had so much fun hanging out with them and it was nice to be able to just focus on Colin during that time. Our prayers were answered for a wonderful outcome and quick recovery. So quick that by Sunday he was back to normal and we were able to take a quick day trip to the lake, slip and slid in the backyard (don't ask my back how that was) and then had a wonderful BBQ with friends on Monday evening to celebrate Memorial Day.
Full to the brim was May with wonderful happenings. A birthday, a wedding, a birth, great family time, and answered prayers. Busy but OH SO GOOD!
